I don’t really believe in writer’s block, so I’ll say I’ve been stuck. Not sure what I want to say. Not sure what I have to say. A lot of this has to do with the fact that I just haven’t been thinking about writing in any capacity. I have been reading a lot of beautifully crafted novels, so that’s been great.
I’ll get my words back. But, for right now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the following quote. It’s from the Laxdæla Saga; I hadn’t heard of either prior to starting Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. The quote is:
“I was worst to the one I loved best.”
It might be the most beautiful thing I’ve read.
